Another Q&A and still no word on future updates

Tuesday saw the posting of “Community Q&A: July 23rd, 2012” on the SWTOR forum. But still no word about an ETA om the promised expansion beyond level 50 and the new planet, nor about the promised introduction of same sex relationships. Some sites have commented that with the large cutbacks at the BioWare following the game’s declining subscription numbers, they just don’t have the people on hand to keep their promises.

BioWare’s rather crude attempt to deflect questions about such topics is:

As a reminder, we previously suggested a shift in focus in your questions. As development plans are always subject to change, questions about future features will often get vague answers which can be repetitive and sometimes annoying. With that in mind, the development team is more interested in questions about current in-game features or systems, or questions about why development decisions were made. You’re still welcome to ask questions about future features and we’ll continue to answer them where appropriate – just expect the occasional ‘soon.’

After all, people wouldn’t keep asking the questions if BioWare was providing some kind of answers, instead of just ignoring the whole issue.
